COTA is partnering with Catalyst Research to conduct a landmark study into Retirement Living, aimed to understand the needs of older Australians on how they undertake research and assess providers as they consider independent or assisted living options.
The program was led and supported by COTA Queensland Wellbeing Project Officer, Karen Wilson, and delivered by a team of 11 volunteers. We wish to share a snapshot of the overall learnings from this program.
A recent collaboration between researchers, Emily Todd and Alison Mutch, from the University of Queensland, and Bronwyn Bidstrup from COTA Queensland, found evidence that information and communication technology improves social connectedness for older people to some extent.
