Ageing Well in the Decade of Healthy Ageing

COTA Queensland’s Chief Executive, Mark Tucker-Evans conducted a presentation on Ageing Well in the Decade of Healthy Ageing which is coming from our office in the Brisbane CBD on Turrbal land.

COTA Queensland is recognised by the Queensland Government as the Seniors Peak and we provide advice to the Queensland Government on trends and issues, such as housing, transport, energy, etc relating to ageing and Queensland’s Seniors.

We are a for-purpose charity advancing the rights, needs, interests and futures of Queenslanders as we age. We are part of a Federation of COTAs, i.e. there is a COTA in every state and territory and COTA Australia whose primary role is to engage the Australian Government on issues impacting on older Australians, such as aged care, retirement incomes, etc. and work collaboratively with S/T COTAs on issues such as Housing, Elder Abuse, older workers, etc.

Our vision is that Ageing in Australia is a time of possibility, opportunity and influence.

At COTA Queensland we engage with diverse community voices to inform our independent evidence-based insights. We collaborate with local, national and international experts and networks to create real and innovative impact because Ageing Matters.

We encourage you to contribute to our policy and advocacy work through our Engagement Hub – https://cotaqld.engagementhub.com.au/
