The Department of Environment and Science has consulted with COTA Queensland on the Plan, which identifies climate change risks to health and wellbeing, and includes priority actions for adaptation.
COTA is partnering with Catalyst Research to conduct a landmark study into Retirement Living, aimed to understand the needs of older Australians on how they undertake research and assess providers as they consider independent or assisted living options.
Homelessness does not discriminate and can affect anyone - from young, single people to families with children, to our older population. A staggering 20,000 people in Queensland are experiencing homelessness.
Libraries provide a safe and comfortable space for older women to spend time; either alone or with family, friends and peers; or through participation in programs and activities. Libraries support older women by connecting them to the community or bringing the community to them.
Today most Queenslanders can expect to live into their eighties and some beyond. Longer life provides the opportunity to reconsider not only what older age might be but how our whole lives might unfold.
