Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland and Moreton Bay Regional Council are partnering to pilot a Volunteer Community Peer Navigator Program at the Bribie Island library. The program aims to empower older people and their carers.
The UN independent expert on the human rights of older persons is preparing the reports on ageism & age discrimination, and on older women's rights. Consultations have been opened until 22 March 2021.
“The next four years of Government are an opportunity for future policies to be inclusive of all of us.” said Mark Tucker-Evans, COTA Queensland’s Chief Executive.
‘Eudaemonic design’ is design that supports flourishing health and wellness (also known as Eudaemonic Well-Being—a concept that originated with Aristotle). The term has been adopted from philosophy and psychology and is now being adapted for the built environment.
