The first day of Queensland Seniors Week, Saturday 15 August, is being dubbed ‘a Day of Solidarity between Generations’, especially fitting given the need for us to remain connected and look out for each other.
It is also good news for other holders of a Commonwealth Pensioner Concession Card, such as veterans, people with disability, carers, and single parents who rely on state government concessions for access to electricity, water, and transport.
By retaining the 'One, two, free for seniors and pensioners’ will enable seniors who use their Go Card to travel free for the rest of the day after two journeys.
