PallConsult is a new service from Queensland Health, designed to boost the capacity of local healthcare teams to deliver patient-centred palliative and end-of-life care, especially in rural and remote parts of Queensland.
The course is designed to assist policy makers, urban planners, housing professionals and home builders. Home designers and homeowners will find it useful too.
The aim of PallConsult is to build capacity within the generalist workforce to provide quality end-of-life care and to support equitable access to home-based care for those who choose it.
In 2019 the Queensland Government released the model code for neighbourhood design to encourage the development of healthier and more active communities across the state.
