COTA Queensland continues to work closely with Palliative Care Queensland (PCQ). The aim of the collaboration is to utilise the strengths, knowledge and experience of each organisation to promote supports available to Queenslanders to live and die well.
Housing is a key issue, and it has significant implications for many aspects of older people’s lives. Planning ahead is critical. Housing decisions are complex, often have emotional implications and for some older people decisions may be made under stress.
COTA has called on the State Government to assist build the capacity of older Queenslanders to make informed decisions about their housing through funding face-to-face interactive education sessions.
