The extra funding will see the line expanded to include outbound calls to carers of people living with dementia, as well as more specific community supports for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) seniors.
The new peer support group will provide a space for over 65s with disability from all over Queensland to connect, share information and talk about topics that are important to them.
From June 2020, all aged care assessment and delivery services now have access to free sign language and interpreting services to support older Australians who are deaf, deafblind, or hard of hearing to access or engage with Australian Government funded aged care services.
