MEDIA RELEASE: A new RADIO service for seniors

COTA (Council on the Ageing) Queensland is the Seniors Peak giving older Queenslanders a voice on issues that affect them.

“We are very excited to be launching Radio COTA, a weekly podcast focused on topical and relevant information for older Queenslanders” said COTA Queensland Chief Executive Mark Tucker-Evans.

Radio COTA will be hosted by media veteran Andy Neil and can be accessed through any mobile device or computer.

“Each week we will be out in the community speaking with Queenslanders of all ages to gather their opinions on a wide range of topics”.

“Radio COTA is a new and exciting concept in the delivery of news and information specifically relevant to older Queenslanders.” said Andy Neil.

“In the following weeks you can look forward to some fantastic interviews and a wealth of information leading up to the 13th Global Conference on Ageing in June and Seniors Week in August.”

“Join us on Wednesday March 2nd for the first podcast in our series where we explore the history, present and future of COTA Queensland and Age-friendly cities and communities with Dr. Kathleen Brasher an international advocate for Age-friendly.” Andy said.

“Older people are becoming much more tech savvy and our podcasts will be a great way to be informed whilst on the go” Mark said.
