PallConsult is a new service from Queensland Health, designed to boost the capacity of local healthcare teams to deliver patient-centred palliative and end-of-life care, especially in rural and remote parts of Queensland.
The aim of PallConsult is to build capacity within the generalist workforce to provide quality end-of-life care and to support equitable access to home-based care for those who choose it.
The ELDAC Home Care toolkit has been developed by the University of Technology Sydney with palliative and aged care experts to assist staff working in aged care services supporting client’s at home to provide information and resources on providing palliative care and advance care planning.
COTA Queensland continues to work closely with Palliative Care Queensland (PCQ). The aim of the collaboration is to utilise the strengths, knowledge and experience of each organisation to promote supports available to Queenslanders to live and die well.
