In July the Australian Human Rights Commission released a report on Multigenerational workforces: a guide to the rights of older workers under the Age Discrimination Act 2004.
COTA Queensland continues to work closely with Palliative Care Queensland (PCQ). The aim of the collaboration is to utilise the strengths, knowledge and experience of each organisation to promote supports available to Queenslanders to live and die well.
Today most Queenslanders can expect to live into their eighties and some beyond. Longer life provides the opportunity to reconsider not only what older age might be but how our whole lives might unfold.
When we focus on the group of older Australians who are not doing so well at the moment, we see numerous challenges related to finances, health, age discrimination and a general lack of trust in Government and the future.
