Cultural diversity: Strengthening home care forum

Are you a home care worker or provider, student, or community member that wants to learn about the benefits and importance of providing culturally responsive home care? If so, this forum is for you!

People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds make up more than a third of the aged care workforce. Diverse home care is vital to supporting the well-being of Queensland’s senior citizens.

Join us and take part in shared conversation and storytelling during this one-day forum, which provides an opportunity to:

  • create a deeper understanding of what is culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful care
  • connect with the local community, care support workers, and students
  • explore what home care means across cultures.
  • identify opportunities and potential solutions, resources, and supports available.

Hosted by Queensland Home Care Workforce Support Program Consortium and Moreton Bay Regional Council in collaboration with Ethnic Communities Council Queensland (ECCQ) and Caboolture Neighbourhood Centre Community Action for a Multicultural Society (CAMS) Program

This Forum has been funded through the Home Care Workforce Support Program which received grant funding from the Australian Government.
