We have been working with the Brisbane North PHN and the [email protected] consortium over the last few months to explore how centre-based respite might look in the future.
Community-based programs provide opportunities for people to socially connect with peers and other generations and participate in activities that support wellbeing. They can also provide a break for family members in a caring role.
We are now in the final phase of our engagement and we want to ensure people have had an opportunity to have their say.
We want to hear from you if you live in the Brisbane North PHN region (this includes Bribie Island, Caboolture, Kilcoy, Redcliffe and more), and are:
- passionate about supporting healthy ageing in the community.
- a current participant in community-based respite activities, a carer, family member or friend.
- an interested citizen.
Available from late-January to mid-February 2021, we will come and speak to small groups (4-8 people) over morning or afternoon tea.
To be held in mid-February 2021, join in our highly engaging online Zoom workshop.
