July 2020 to June 2021 

In partnerships with local community organisations, COTA Queensland delivered group-based information sessions through a mixed modality approach.  This involved COTA Queensland presenters live streaming aged care information presentations and Q&A in to communities, with local coordinators organising the event and supporting people in the community.  Partners were based in Barcaldine, Charleville, Charters Towers, Childers, Cooktown, Gin Gin, Hervey Bay, Hughenden, Maryborough and Pomona.  

January 2019 to June 2020 

COTA Queensland was one of the partners of the initial navigator trials with a ‘community hub’ approach in Bundaberg. We worked with key organisations and as a result tested peer-led group information sessions, conducted outreach, delivered seminars at seniors’ expos and forums and met with workers and community groups within the region. 

This Aged Care Navigator Trial is delivered by COTA Queensland as part of a consortium led by COTA Australia and funded by the Australian Government.
