Queensland Rail Accessibility Focus Group

COTA Queensland has been invited to be a member of Queensland Rail’s Accessibility Focus Group to contribute, participate and partner with Queensland Rail in the design of infrastructure and services to ensure that the needs of people with a disability are considered in working to become an accessible, customer focused world-class rail service provider.

Although the majority of older people do not have a disability it is important that older train users have a voice. We are seeking a an older person who regularly uses trains to represent COTA Queensland on the QRAFG. Our representative would seek feedback and share information and outcomes of the AFG’s work with COTA Queensland and our stakeholders.

The level of engagement will directly link to the potential level of impact to QR’s customers. Methods may include:

  • Presentations/ discussions
  • One-to-one interviews
  • Workshops
  • Co-design
  • Polling
  • Online forums.

Meetings will generally be held on Tuesdays (not every Tuesday) between 10:00am-2:00pm.

Application should be forwarded to Mark Tucker-Evans via email mark.tucker-evans@cotaqld.org.au no later than 18 June.
